I have one child who is 18 years old, a Feist mix, and a Chihuahua/Whippet mix. My son's name is Max and our dogs’ names are Kate and Holly. This is my twenty-third year of teaching. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Child and Family Development and a Birth to Kindergarten license. I have now added the k-6 certification to my license. I taught pre-kindergarten in the Bright Beginnings program in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for two years. I started teaching kindergarten the following year and taught kindergarten for ten years. For the last eleven years, I taught at South Elementary. I taught second grade for seven years and third grade for four years! I am so excited to be teaching third grade now at EMIS! Third grade is a lot of fun!
